A study conducted in England in the 1990s and involving 150 pregnant moms showed than vitamin D supplementation is actually very beneficial and enhances your baby's bone health for a life time.

Another more recent - 2007 - study that vitamin D3 is beneficial for a slew of ailments.

Actually a lack of vitamin D3 has been associated to pre-eclampsia...so yes take your vitamin! :)
