Two questions - movement and GBS
by Hespera

I am 22 and this is my first pregnancy.
At 16 weeks, I was laying in bed one night and felt my baby move. There was a flutter, followed by big "roll" against the inside of my stomach that was so obvious and different from anything else I sat up and told my husband I just felt the baby.
It was very unmistakable, even though the baby was so small and I am overweight.
I felt a few more movements in the next couple days - and then nothing.
It's been about seven days and all signs of any movement have stopped. They got more subtle and more infrequent and now there is nothing but the regular old gurglings of my stomach.
Does this sound like a bad sign, or do you think that because it's still somewhat early for a first time mom, it's normal for the movements to disappear for so long?
The next day after the first movement, I had an ultrasound and the baby was great, they could even see really clearly that it was a boy.
If everything is fine with my baby and I make it to full-term, they say they want to give me antibiotics because I tested positive for GBS and they won't test me again later.
I REALLY don't want to get the antibiotics during labor. Is there a natural alternative that has had good outcomes?
What is your best advice for moms with GBS?
I was considering using foods and herbs to combat it and just opting out of the antibiotics and hoping for the best... What do you think?
