Thinking about starting a family

Thanks so much for putting this site together! I just turned 30, and my husband and I are thinking about trying for our first child in the within the next year. I am currently on an IUD, and wondered if you had any suggestions for what we should be doing in the months ahead to prepare. From what I have been told (by doctors), there isn't much to do in preparation and that we can start trying right away after the IUD is removed. I just thought it would be nice to get a second opinion :)
