What is a Sitz Bath?A sitz bath is a shallow bath with enough water to cover your hip bones. It is easier and safer than a full bath in the early days after birth. It is safe as early as one hour after birth. Sitz baths are highly recommended if you have perineal - by your vagina - soreness, if you had a tear or an episiotomy. However, all new moms will benefit from a nice warm bath with beneficial herbs, essential oils, flower essences, homeopathic remedies or a combination of those various therapies.

Run hot water for the sitz bath and when the temperature is comfortable and it is deep enough, add a handful of coarse sea salt with:
3 drops lavender oil 3 drops cypress oil
