Reaction to "Born in the USA"

I just finished the book "Born in the USA" and it was a really informative but easy to follow read.

I decided many years ago in college during an anthropology class on birth and death in different cultures that if I ever had a baby I would seriously consider a midwife attended home birth.

Now I am 20 weeks and am on my way! I am so grateful to this book, if anything it has helped me point people in the right direction when I am challenged on my decision. Fortunately, my husband, my parents and in laws are so supportive, as are most of my friends.

If I do have to go to the hospital for any reason, I will know what to look out for in order to protect myself, my baby, and my personal rights, thanks to this book.
