Pregnant in Bangladesh

(Bangladesh)

Your input is wanted: i am from the UK. Currently stuck here being 34 weeks in bangladesh. i have been going to all best hospitals in Dhaka..which includes Apollo Hospital, United Hospital, Square Hospital..and many others..the problem is they all believe and strongly prefer scissors instead of natural birth because they say in this country time is money the quicker they can deliver the baby more quick they can leave the room instead of waiting hours for the natural birth to progress and its useless to make the mother wait and go through unnecessary pain. Few peoples here told me the doctors prefer this just because there is more money involve in scissors.I found 1 doctor who i convinced for natural birth ..but when i was going through my birth plan with her..i soon found out there is no such thing as birth plan here what ever the doctor says and feel you should go with that..the mother's feelings and desires what she wants and doesn't want is not valued at all.Infact she ha
s no say at all. when i explained a few things like i dont want to be forced into any labour position , or have unnecessary scissors ,any types of drugs and dont want the babies cod to be cut off straight after birth..this were all thrown aside and i was told if you dont lay down and give birth and dont cooperate with doctor then uterus will come out and you will not be able to have kids in future..even after showing and explaining her i have read many articles about early cord clamping it was my wish that my babies cord be cut after the cord stops pulsating she told me if you do that your baby will get jaundice. She said. "its ok dear do everything i say and cooperate with me" . there is no midwife service that i have found in dhaka and all this things left me wanting to have a unassisted birth at home because now i am trusting myself more then the so called DOCTORS here. But when i went through my report i saw i am severely anemic which the doctor never mentioned or gave me anything about it untill when i asked her on 32 weeks while i was discussing my birth plan.i do understand there is a huge risk of heavy bleeding and other complication during birth if you are anemic. please can you give me any advice what to say to the doctor or what to do .. and if i do at home the traffic here is bad ..to reach any hospital which is 10 mins walk can take upto 1-2 hours.. any help or advice will be very helpful...
