Hi, Kristen.
My son was actually born in Fairbanks, Alaska at the Alaska Family Health and Birth Center. My husband is in the military so we move around quite a bit. The closest birth center to Hagerstown is Special Beginnings in Annapolis as far as I know. I was at my friend's home water birth in Hagerstown a little over a year ago and could get you her midwife's contact information if that's something you'd be interested in.

Where was this???

I hope that you see this and can respond soon. I am pregnant with my second child and am due in July 2011. I have been looking everywhere trying to find someone to do a water birth around Hagerstown, MD - which is where this blog says you are from. I got excited when I read it was only a 15 minute drive to the birthing center. Can you please tell me the name? The closest I have found are in Annapolis, MD.
