Labor and HomeopathyLabor and homeopathy are not necessarily two words you see together all that often. Yet your labor - and therefore you and your baby - can benefit from a well chosen homeopathic remedy. Some women even use homeopathic remedies to prepare their body for labor as you will see in the protocol below. If you are unsure about what homeopathy is Click Here In this section, you will find remedies for:
Keep in mind that you may not have all the symptoms that go with a particular remedy - just take the one that matches the best or comes the closest. Use a 30C potency, take one dose - 1 to 5 pellets, but usually 3 - under the tongue and wait. The right remedy should have some effect within half an hour. Another method: put the remedy in water and stir vigorously before each additional sip, which you should take only if there is a relapse or a failure to make progress on the single dose. NOTE on pregnancy and homeopathy: In homeopathy, one dose is whatever remedies you take at ONE TIME. And 2 pellets of one remedy - for example a 30c, DO NOT add up to a 60c. A potency remains the same! Labor and Homeopathy - Leave a comment. A breech position is when your baby is positioned in the womb feet or bottom first. Most doctors deliver breech babies by c-section. Before 36 weeks it is possible - and easiest - to turn your baby into a head down position - babies have even been known to turn during labor!! These are two remedies that can help turn a baby around in the womb: ~*~*~*~*~*~ Labor and Homeopathy ~*~*~*~*~*~ Labor and Homeopathy: During LaborCan homeopathy help during your labor? The answer is yes. When it comes to labor, there are no hard and fast rules!! As each woman is unique, first and second stage labor can last only a few minutes or as long as a few days!! There are remedies that appear to be effective in dealing with possible problems during childbirth, such as a cervix which is slow to dilate, pain, excessive bleeding, retained placenta and other difficulties. Some homeopaths can attend your birth or perhaps recommend a labor kit. The following remedies are often required, both during and after labor, so if you are new to homeopathy or are unable to consult a homeopath, you can start out with these: ~*~*~*~*~*~ Labor and Homeopathy ~*~*~*~*~*~ Labor Prep ProtocolAt 36 weeks, you can begin this homeopathic protocol. Again we would caution against inducing labor just because you are impatient. On the other hand, if you have a doctor and a previous birth was post term and you will be threatened with induction or a c-section if you go post term again then this protocol is a good idea. Method 1: All remedies should be used with a 12c potency. If you have a hard time finding it, a 30c is an adequate replacement. Monday: 3 pellets of Cimicifuga Wednesday: 3 pellets of Caullophyllum Friday: 3 pellets of Arnica Method 2: 3 times a week take 3 pellets of each of these remedies - again a 12 or 30c but nothing higher:
Even though many doctors will state that homeopathy is unproven and therefore dangerous, the truth is much different. There are myriads of studies that show homeopathy's efficacy. One such example is with the previous combination of remedies. A double-blind study was done in 1987***, women took the remedies mentioned above starting during the 36th week of pregnancy. The women who took the remedies experienced 40% less time in labor than those that took nothing or a placebo. ***"Preparation for Birth by Homeopathy:Experimentation" Dorfman, Lassure, Tetau, April 1987. 90 ~*~*~*~*~*~ Labor and Homeopathy ~*~*~*~*~*~ Labor and Homeopathy: ReviewsAny thoughts?
