Hubby and I were newly weds and trying to conceive. We got married back in mid December and it was now mid May. I was very upset that I hadn't been able to see a BFP test result.

I was feeling sort of nauseated, sort of off balance and not "right" for a few days. I went and bought a pregnancy test and of course it was negative. I was so infuriated I threw the test out in the garbage so hard it actually bounced back out and landed a few feet from it.

Days later, I was at work feeling horrible and realized this could be an ear infection (I'm super prone to ear infections and usually get one once a year which I attribute to not being breastfed...)I told my boss I made a doc's apt (they squeezed me in for the next day - Friday) and that I might make it in late if not at all. He said fine, it was to be a slow day anyway.

Friday, I was on my way to my doc's office and while on my way, I got a call from the office telling me they had booted me from the apt because they had been over-booked. I was half way there and they were 5 blocks from my regular hospital. I decided to call Hub and get his opinion.

He agreed I was so close I might as well go in to the ER. I was feeling really badly and had even been vomiting at work the day before, plus it felt like some one had hit me with a bat across my face.

I went in, was seen and told I had a sinus infection. What? I had never had one of those but made sense since my face hurt like it did.

The ER doc asked me if I was pregnany and I very bedgrudgedly said NO. He asked why I said it like that and I told him we had been trying, I had just taking a test a few days before and that it said I wasn't.

He told me he wasn't convinced and would give me another because the meds he'd give me would be real bad on a baby if I should happen to be preggers.

I was no SUPER ANGRY, no one who is trying to conceive wants to see neg. test result after neg. test result.

I said "whatever!" He left, send in a nurse who asked for urine, she left what seemed like hours went by and she came in almost running with the doc. hollering after her to not say anything to me that he would. I thought OH GREAT, they found something!

They had! I was pregnant!

I just kept saying, "I'm pregnant, I'm pregnant, I'm pregnant, I'm pregnant!"

I started crying so hard I actually stuck my head in side my sweat shirt while both of them tried to talk to me. He kept trying to explain he wouldn't be able to give me the meds and almost sounded like it was a bad thing I was pregnant.

I finally stopped long enough to look at him and say "Who cares about the medication and pain! I'm pregnant!" He gave me my scripts for some sprays he told me wouldn't help with pain and let me go.

I wanted to wait to get home to tell hub but couldn't help it and called him on my cell phone. Outside the hospital, in the rain, while my cell was dying.
