Is Doc John Stevenson still alive?

My name is Ezeda Odendaal and homebirth midwife in Greece and has great respect for the opinion of Doc John Stevenson. I have communicating with him in 2004-2005 about births and then lost contact with him. I contacted him again by e-mail about 2 years ago and again one year ago and had no response from him. I respect that he must be elderly by now and perhaps not alive anymore. I would like to know if you know about a book he published, he told me he is working on a book about homebirths and practising as a homebirth practitioner?
