Ob vs midwife
by: Natural Pregnancy Mentor - Florence

Hi Christy,

The recommended time is 8 to 10 weeks for the first appointment. However, many women choose to go later than that.

If you do not want many interventions, my advice would be to find a natural minded midwife. Not all midwives are hands off.

So go in with a list of question and if you care provider does not give you the time of day...find a new one. Pregnancy is NOT a disease and you are not a patient but rather a customer. It is your right to pick the provider that best suit your needs.

Good luck and many blessings!
