Pregnant? Use Our Due Date Estimator

A due date estimator is just that: a tool to help you estimate when you baby may be due. The fact is that no amount of technology can - nor will - predict when your baby will enter this world. Babies like to hold us in suspense we guess.

However, we certainly understand that, the first thing any woman wants to do after finding out that she is pregnant, is to use a due date estimator. We were no exception!

It is fun to count down the weeks as we fix our gaze on the "magical due date" - which for most women comes and goes with no baby.

In the United States, a pregnancy is based on 10 lunar months which is 280 days or 40 weeks. A pregnancy, however, is considered term at 37 weeks: so a baby born at - or after - that time, will not be considered pre-mature - early.

However, you may not know that all countries do not calculate a due date the same way. In France, for example, a due date calculator for pregnancy is based on 41 weeks. This is done because most babies will be born between 40 and 41 weeks. It probably makes it easier on mom that way.

Remember, not all women are the same. You are a unique individual and so is your baby. And your baby will come when she is ready.

How to Use The Due Date Predictor

  • Last Menstrual Period:
  • Enter the first day of your last period.

  • Average Length of Cycles:
  • How long does your cycle usually last from the first day of one period to the day before the next one begins? The average is considered to be 28 days, however this is not the case for all women and it may not be the case for you.

  • Average Luteal Phase Length:
  • Fancy term for the interval between the first day of ovulation to the beginning of your next period.

If you do not keep track of your cycles through the Sympto-Thermal-Method - similar to the Basal Method - or use a basal thermometer, you probably do not know your luteal phase length. That's okay! Our due date predictor will fill it in for you.

The average luteal phase length is 14 days.

    Last Menstrual Period:

                                  (defaults to 28)

Average Luteal Phase Length: (9 to 16)
