Desperatly wanting natural birth but insurance uncooperative...

I'm not sure if any one has insight into this or can help but here it is..
I am 6 weeks pregnant. I have a 3 year old daughter who I had at the hospital with a OB. I had an awful experience.
After I had her I started reading countless books on natural pregnancy and became more educated. I desperately want to get my care and give birth at the only free standing birth center in our state.
However, our insurance company will not cover it.
They will cover a midwife in a birth center ATTACHED to a hospital (almost 2 hours away from me, the freestanding birth center is 1 hour away).
That is not the type of experience I have been hoping for and learning about these past 2 plus years.
So my question is if any one has been in this type of situation and knows of any way I can get the insurance to cover at least most of the freestanding BC charges.
My husband and I cannot afford to pay for this out of pocket. I would love to find a way around this so I can have the experience I want. Any input would be appreciated.
And thank you for this great web site.
Thank you, Cara
