back pain for life?

I had an epidural almost 11 years ago...I have been suffering from lower back pain for about that long. Every time i go to see my doctor about my back pain, he just gives me muscle relaxers and pain killers, and sends me on my way.

I have been to physical therapy, but that was short term relief. I don't know what to do and don't want to live with this chronic back pain. Is it because I made that decision to have the epidural?

I ask myself, was it worth the years of back pain to be relieved of a few hours of child birth? In retrospect, no it was not worth it.
