A baby's point of view

I am male and now 59 years old. For my birth my mother had an Epidural.

All of my life I have felt different, like I didn't belong. I did not bond with my mother, in fact I have had trouble bonding with anyone.

2 years ago I found out about Aspergers ... a form of Autism ... and I have been diagnosed with it.

I have been searching for causes and solutions for the 2 years since. It was only today, 23rd July 2010, that I found out about the effects of Epidurals on the baby, and a lot of what I have read fits me.

My life has been very painful in so many ways. I wish my mother had put up with a few hours of childbirth pain, instead of having an epidural. It would have saved me decades of pain.

My mother did not have an epidural for either of my brothers' births, and they don't have the issues I have.
