Dr. Frederick LeBoyerFrederick LeBoyer was born in France in 1918. He studied medicine and specialized in gynecology and obstetrics, becoming head consultant at the Paris Faculty of Medicine in the 1950s. After undergoing psychoanalysis Dr. Leboyer started working out new ideas about the process of birth.
![]() In his book Birth Without Violence, Dr. LeBoyer revolutionized the vision of how we bring our children into the world. In 1977, "Loving Hands" initiated western mothers to the power and magic of Infant Massage. Dr. LeBoyer, through these two books and other publications, has shown evidence that the emotional environment of birth has a profound impact and life-long effects on everyone.
